How I feel about Mike and Susan

30 Days of Ships: Day 11: Mike and Susan.

My first episode of Desperate Housewives was the season two premiere. I got hooked right away and rented season 1 from Blockbuster the following summer. For some reason I don’t recall (I was in 8th grade at the time people. That seems forever ago.) I immediately latched on to Mike and Susan. I know to most people, Susan was their least favorite housewife, but she was my favorite.

I just remember ugly crying when Mike left Susan crying in the middle of the street in her mother’s wedding dress. She lied to him to protect her daughter, her DAUGHTER. And then they were so close to getting back together and getting engaged and then Orson finds it necessary to hit him with a car and then Edie finds it necessary to brainwash him. And then there was the matter of Ian. But the rescue scene in the woods? Ugh gets me every time. And their wooded wedding? So perfect. What bugs me is when they were finally happy and MJ was just born, here’s a five year jump oh and they’re divorced now btw. What the heck? WHY?

And then Katherine is there being annoying. I liked her until she started to mess with my MiSu. Season five, five?, was so hard for me to watch. Needless to say they finally did get remarried and things were happy again. Until Marc Cherry decides that after all of that, Mike should probably die with five episodes left of the entire series. You are just as bad as Shonda Rhimes my friend. (if you were going to kill off Lexie, was the possibility of Slexie really happening again necessary?)

It just really pisses me off that all of the other housewives ended up happily married and my MiSu didn’t. Because Mike is dead. Seriously what kind of writing is that? IT’S THE LAST SEASON. MIKE SHOULDN’T HAVE DIED!
